Terms of Service

AeroParts by AFRAA is a marketplace that connects sellers of aircraft parts with buyers such as airlines, MROs and operators. The platform provides listing, search, request-for-quotation (RFQ), quotation and invoicing tools. AFRAA is not the seller or buyer of any part listed on the platform and is not a party to the sale contract formed between a seller and a buyer, except as expressly stated for platform fees.

You must be authorised to act for the company you register. You agree to provide accurate company, contact and address information and to keep it up to date. Your registered address is used on quotations and invoices generated through the platform.

Account categories (AFRAA Members, AFRAA Partners, Other Airlines, Other Suppliers, or any category created by the platform administrator) determine the applicable subscription or commission rates as published on the pricing page.

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including part numbers, serial numbers, condition, traceability and airworthiness documentation (for example FAA 8130-3, EASA Form 1 or equivalent). Parts uploaded in bulk remain marked undocumented until the required certificates are uploaded, and must not be represented as documented.

Sellers must hold all necessary export, customs and regulatory approvals (including applicable export-control classifications such as ECCN, EAR or ITAR status) for the parts they list and sell.

A request for quotation is an invitation, not a contract. A binding agreement between seller and buyer is formed only when both parties confirm a deal. A seller may not request a quotation on their own listing.

Seller identity is kept confidential by default and is disclosed only to account categories with a paid subscription or as otherwise permitted by the platform.

Depending on your account category and agreement, the platform charges either a recurring subscription for listing access or a commission on confirmed sales. The applicable rate for your category is published on the pricing page and may be updated by the platform administrator; updated rates apply to transactions confirmed after the change takes effect.

When quoting, a seller chooses whether to pass the platform fee on to the buyer within the quoted price or to absorb it. The buyer always sees a single quoted price. Platform commission invoices are issued to the seller on confirmed deals.

Listing access may be suspended where a subscription or commission payment is due and unpaid.

You must not list counterfeit, unapproved, stolen or fraudulently documented parts; circumvent the platform to avoid fees on platform-originated deals; scrape or harvest data; or interfere with the operation of the platform. Suspected fraudulent documentation must be reported to AFRAA immediately.

Listings and certificates are provided by sellers. While the platform supports document verification workflows, AFRAA does not warrant the airworthiness, condition or conformity of any part, and buyers remain responsible for their own inspection and regulatory compliance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AFRAA's aggregate liability arising from the platform is limited to the fees you paid to AFRAA in the twelve months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
